AJW Aviation named ATE&M "˜Best Spare Parts Provider"™ for the third year running

The winners of the ATE&M Awards 2014 were announced at a glittering ceremony at The Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington on Wednesday night. The "˜Best Spare Parts Provider"™ is a very competitive category, with dozens of companies initially nominated. The awards are entirely democratic, and with several thousand votes cast from all areas of the aviation industry, this makes the win for AJW particularly meaningful.

The awards process started at the beginning of the year when the industry was asked to make their nominations in the fourteen main categories. Following this, a shortlist of finalists in each sector was chosen by a global judging panel of 19 industry experts who then had the overall deciding vote on this year"™s industry winners. The ATE&M Awards, now firmly established as a highlight on the aviation calendar, aim to recognise and celebrate success in the commercial aviation aftermarket.

AJW President, Christopher Whiteside, comments "This is a great accolade and we are very proud to be named as the industry"™s best spare parts provider. The fact that this award is initially voted for across the aviation industry, including our customers, partners and suppliers, makes it especially important to us. To win for the third year running is a great achievement and we certainly look forward to upholding the reasons why we were chosen as we expand our business and build even stronger partnerships with our customers over the next twelve months."

As well as "˜Best Spare Parts Provider"™, AJW was also nominated for "˜Best Component MRO"™ and "˜People Development & Training"™ Award. In addition to being nominated, AJW was given the privilege to sponsor and present the award for "˜Lifetime Achievement"™ to Richard H. Anderson, Chief Executive of Delta TechOps, which was accepted on his behalf by Tim Boldt, MRO Services, Delta TechOps.
