American Airlines appoints new executive at Miami hub

American Airlines Group Inc. on Monday announced the promotion of Ralph Lopez to vice president of the Fort Worth, Texas-based carrier’s Miami hub and its 11,000 workers.

Lopez will succeed Marilyn DeVoe, who will retire from the airline (Nasdaq: AAL) in the summer after 40 years with the company, including 10 years at the hub at Miami International Airport.
