Caroline Cauvin joins AJW Aviation as Director of Procurement where she is responsible for the development of all purchasing activities across the business. This senior role focuses on the development and delivery of a Group-wide purchasing strategy to realise efficiency benefits and financial savings across multiple areas.
Cauvin will provide expert advice and guidance across planning and purchasing across: aircraft components, subcomponents, repairs, consumables and third party supplier services. Her expertise in managing diverse vendor relationships and significant cross-functional procedures and programmes will complement AJW"™s lean approach and globally renowned contracted services to airlines of all sizes.
Cauvin joins AJW from Virgin Atlantic Airways where she has been VP of Procurement for the past four years leading a team of 23 procurement specialists across airline expenditure, and Virgin Holiday"™ indirect expenditure. Here the application of best practise across supplier and outsourcing relationships, flexible team structures, and a 50% reduction of the supply base has contributed to year on year savings ranging from 8-12% annually.
Prior to joining Virgin Atlantic Airways, Cauvin worked as Purchasing Manager for Kimberley Clark Europe and Sourcing Manager for Nike across Europe and Asia.
