Former IATA official de Oliveira named to lead ALTA

The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) has named Luis Felipe de Oliveira, a former IATA official and currently an executive with World Fuel Services, its new executive director.

De Oliveira replaces Eduardo Iglesias, who announced in March he would be stepping down. De Oliveira will officially become ALTA"™s executive director Oct. 1.

From 2006-2015, De Oliveira was with IATA, where he served in several positions related to commercial aviation fuel, including as IATA"™s head of airport infrastructure and fuel from 2013-2015. For the past two years, he has been World Fuel Services VP-supply development for Latin America and the Caribbean.
