ExxonMobil congratulates COMAC on the maiden voyage of its second C919 airliner, the first Chinese-built large passenger aircraft to enter the market. Supported by Mobil Jet Oil II, COMAC’s second C919 test aircraft took off from Shanghai Pudong International Airport on December 17. The first maiden C919 test flight, which occurred on May 5, 2017, also used Mobil Jet Oil II.
“For more than 50 years, Mobil Jet Oil II has supported the progress of the aviation industry, playing a key role in many notable accomplishments of leading airlines and equipment manufacturers,” said Vipin Rana, global aviation lubricants sales manager at ExxonMobil. “We’re honored to include the COMAC C919 airliner test flights to the long list of industry milestones that Mobil Jet Oil II has helped support.”
With nearly 600 million hours of on-wing experience, Mobil Jet Oil II is used, today, in 50 percent of aircraft in operation. Its popularity stems from its proven ability to help deliver outstanding engine cleanliness and component protection.
Mobil Jet Oil II is produced at the state-of-the-art Port Allen aviation lubricants plant outside Baton Rouge, La. The 90,000 square foot facility, which commenced operations in 2016, features advanced equipment and technologies that enable ExxonMobil to produce a reliable supply of Mobil Jet oils and meet the increasing demands for high-performance, synthetic aviation lubricants.Fuente: https://www.exxonmobil.com
