Airline tickets in Spain rose by 3.4% in 2017, despite falling rates

Airlines operating in Spain rose 3.4% on ticket prices in 2017 compared to 2016, although the Aena airport fees charged for the use of airports fell by 2.2% last March 1 .

This is reflected in the data extracted by Servimedia December CPI published by the National Statistics Institute (INE), which seems to indicate that airlines have not taken such a rate cut the cost of flights.

In fact, in the whole of 2017 the price of airline tickets on-year, down only once since the drop in rates, particularly in March, when it fell just 0.2%.

In the fall it could influence the fact that Easter of 2016 took place in that month, unlike 2017, when it was held in April, a month when air ticket prices rose by 6.1% compared to the previous year .

In May, meanwhile, the rise was 1.1% in June from 6.6% in July 3%, 6% in August and September peaked with 10.6%, to follow October with a rise of 5.5% and 5.7% in November…
