CAL cancels flights ahead of Hurricane Irma

Following the extensive damage suffered by parts of the United States of America from the onslaught of Hurricane Harvey, Caribbean Airlines (CAL) has taken precautionary measures by cancelling two of its flights in anticipation of Hurricane Irma.

On Monday the airline announced that flights BW456 from Port of Spain to St Maarten and BW457 from St Maarten to Kingston scheduled for Wednesday (Sept 6), have been cancelled. BW456 was due to depart Trinidad at 7.50 a.m. while BW457 had a 2.00 p.m. departure from Kingston.

CAL has advised that affected customers will be permitted to change or cancel their reservations without penalty provided that they have a confirmed ticket that was issued before September 6.

Passengers wishing to have a refund on their tickets must do so before September 13 while those opting to change their booking, must complete their travel by September 13 unless their booking was made after that date…
