CLAC and FAA teach about «Runway Safety» in Buenos Aires

The Latin American Civil Aviation Commission (LACAC) and the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will conduct the Runway Safety Seminar on August 22-24, 2018 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Hosted by ANAC Argentina, the seminar will feature experts from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), aviation authorities, operators and airports in the region. Representatives from aviation authorities, airport operators, and airlines are encouraged to attend, along with other runway safety stakeholders. The seminar will be conducted in English with simultaneous interpretation in Spanish.

Some of the main topics of the Seminar will include: Overview of the ICAO Global Runway Safety Action Plan (GRSAP); FAA Collaborative Efforts on Runway Safety; Introduction to Airport SMS; Runway Safety Standards; Operational Programs for Managing Risk; LACAC Member State Perspectives on Runway Safety; Airport Perspectives on Runway Safety – Implementing a Runway Safety Team (RST) ; and Air Carrier Perspectives on Runway Safety.
