Ethiopian Airlines won 2019 Best Cargo Airline-Africa Awards, a highly respected recognition in the air commercial industry, the company’s Managing Director, Tewolde Gebremariam, said on Monday.
The award is a testimony to the leading role we play for the socioeconomic development in Africa and the rest of the world effectively and safely, Gebremariam said during a public address.
Ethiopian Airlines, winner of other awards, has the largest cargo terminal in the African continent, with a capacity of around one million tons per year and offers services in 44 international destinations.
According to the manager, cargo and logistics services have a rapid growth dynamic and, if that trend continues, the company can improve by 2025 its lifting capacity to 820,000 tons and increase revenues to 2 billion dollars annually…
