Air France is continuing to expand its Caribbean Regional Network, which acts as a link between the territories, facilitating and promoting travel. Two Air France Airbus A320s based in Pointe-à-Pitre operate year-round services between Pointe-à-Pitre, Fort-de-France, Cayenne, Belém (Brazil), Fortaleza (Brazil) and Miami.
From 11 December 2026, the airline will launch a new route*, with two non-stop weekly flights between Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe) and Panama City (Panama). The airline will adjust the flight schedules to enable customers travelling from Fort-de-France and Cayenne to fly to Panama City via Pointe-à-Pitre. The flights will be operated by Airbus A320 with a total capacity of 170 seats across Business and Economy Class, and equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi. This new service provides free access to a stable, fast and secure connection in all travel classes and can be accessed by logging on to your Flying Blue account, the Air France-KLM loyalty programme.
This new route will be operated twice a week by Airbus A320, with flight schedules designed to facilitate seamless travel to and from Fort-de-France and Cayenne, and to enable connections via the network of the Panamanian airline COPA Airlines, a partner of Air France.

Lionel Rault, Caribbean General Manager Air France KLM:
“The launch of the Pointe-à-Pitre–Panama route, with connections to Fort-de-France and Cayenne, reaffirms Air France’s leading role in providing links between the French West Indies and French Guiana and the Americas. In addition to direct access to Panama City, our customers will be able to benefit from a wide range of destinations served by our partner COPA in Central and South America, with optimized connections in Panama City and through-check-in of baggage to their final destination.
This new route is in addition to our recent launches to Belém and Fortaleza, as well as the expansion of our long-haul flights to our Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub, thereby supporting the economic and tourism development of our territories.”
Alain Bièvre, President of the Management Board of the Société aéroportuaire Guadeloupe Pôle Caraïbes (SAGPC):
“The launch of this Air France route to Panama City (PTY) marks a strategic milestone for Guadeloupe Maryse Condé Airport. It strengthens our role as a regional hub and opens up new connection opportunities to Central America, Latin America and the west coast of the United States, benefiting our residents, businesses and visitors. This new development will be accompanied by an overall expansion of Air France’s regional network from the Guadeloupe Islands, demonstrating the strength and ambitions of our long-standing partnership in support of connectivity across our islands.”
Panama City, a vibrant gateway to Latin America

Known for its famous canal, a true crossroads of international trade, the Panamanian capital also stands out for its remarkable heritage, notably its historic district, Casco Antiguo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as its thriving cultural and gastronomic scene.
A city of contrasts, Panama City harmoniously blends contemporary skyscrapers, culture, history and proximity to exceptional tropical natural surroundings. Panama City International Airport is the hub for COPA Airlines. It is therefore a prime gateway to Central and Latin America.
