There is now great news for travelers in the New York and Miami areas that are interested to fly directly to Berlin or Düsseldorf, respectively. For the first time, since 2001, Lufthansa will be stationing a long-haul aircraft in Berlin, thus connecting Germany’s capital and Europe’s most vibrant city with the Big Apple. Flights on this nonstop route will commence on November, 8 2017. Lufthansa will offer the service five times a week – every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday – using an Airbus A330-300. With this new flight, the Lufthansa Group will offer direct flights from the New York area to four destinations in Germany — Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf and Berlin.
Also in the upcoming winter 2017/18 timetable, which begins on Oct. 28, long-haul flights from Miami to Düsseldorf, Germany, will resume. The MIA – DUS flight will also commence on Nov. 8, being offered three times per week, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The route will operate with an Airbus A330-300
