A total of 26 airlines offer flights from the Juan Santamaria Airport in Alajuela, Costa Rica, while 11 airlines operate from the Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia, Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
According to information from the Costa Rica Tourism Institute (ICT), flights from the Juan Santamaria Airport offer services to 37 destinations, and the ones from the Daniel Oduber Airport connect with 18 locations.
The majority of the airlines operate their flights as established and permanent routes, however, some others such as KLM and Alaska Airlines operate the routes only during some months of the year.
During the last three years the ICT has been working diligently on increasing the number of airlines operating in the country.
Several cities of the United States, Canada, Central America, Germany, England, Portugal, Spain, Mexico, Netherlands, Switzerland, Peru, Mexico and Venezuela are a few of the destinations offered.
