American Airlines cuts charter flights to NFL teams

American Airlines will cut charter flights currently provided to American football teams, citing a shortage of aircraft. Forbes reports that an employee memo says that American will no longer fly the Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers for the forthcoming 2017-18 season.

Three teams that remain on American’s charter books are Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles.

«After careful evaluation, we are reducing the number of charter operations for 2017 to ensure we have the right aircraft available for our passenger operation,» the memo says…
