Delta receives seventh IATA CEIV certification

The U.S.-based air carrier now offers seven certified pharma facilities in Europe that connect to its Atlanta hub in the U.S., Delta announced on Wednesday.

Delta Cargo is now offering CEIV-approved (Center of Excellence for Independent Validators in Pharmaceutical Logistics) facilities at seven locations across Europe, operated in conjunction with Air France-KLM.

Delta is the first U.S. global passenger carrier to receive IATA"™s CEIV pharma logistics certification, the carrier said. Dusseldorf airport marks the seventh facility to be certified and, according to Delta, the carrier has 50 pharma approved stations around the globe, with the seven in Europe all connected to Delta"™s cargo hub in Atlanta.

The CEIV stations in Europe include Amsterdam, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Milan, Paris-CDG and Rome.
Additionally, Delta offers four pharma service options, with a variety of containers and coolers, as well as temperature controlled carts for ramp operations in Frankfurt for transport between the aircraft and the warehouse…
