AJW Aviation wins ‘The Aviation 100 Parts Supplier of the Year’ Award for fourth year running

AJW Aviation is proud to have once again been announced as the winner of ‘The Aviation 100 Parts Supplier of the Year’ Award 2016. Now in its sixth year, the Airline Economics ‘Aviation 100’ awards is one of the largest events of its kind and recognises the year’s industry leading performers, based on votes and top ten rankings across strict criteria.

To be considered by the industry as the best spare parts provider for the fourth consecutive year is testimony to AJW"™s unswerving focus. Christopher Whiteside, President "“ AJW Group, attributes this success to a number of factors: "Since A J Walter Aviation Limited was first established in 1932 the Company has always embraced innovation and new technologies. We now have the privilege of working with over 1,000 airline customers in 117 countries, we are an IATA Strategic Partner, and we have more than 1,250 Airbus and Boeing aircraft entrusted to our care under various contracts. Guaranteeing dispatch reliability through our power-by-the-hour and repair-by-the-hour programmes is just one way that we are helping to significantly transform aviation efficiency and improve the passenger experience.

"We have come a long way; however our journey is just beginning. When I started to manage the Company in 1994 we employed just twelve people, many of whom are still with AJW. Now we have over 700 talented team members and everyone shares the same values. To us at AJW, it"™s not the best that we can do, but the best that can be done anywhere.

"Every day brings new challenges, requiring quick thinking and clever ideas. We are expanding our management team to bring smart and experienced people on board who understand our vision and also have the spirit and determination to succeed. As we move into 2016 you will see AJW embracing new market sectors and aircraft types as we shape our flexible services to meet changing and more complex customer demands worldwide."

Accepting the award was Ian Malin -Treasurer, Director and Chief Investment Officer at AJW, who commented «The criteria for this award includes parts stocked and our ability to source and supply from our global hub network – including award winning 24/7/365 AOG. It takes into account AJW"™s current and new clients over the past 12 months, the global locations in which we operate and the number of employees. Our team has grown significantly in the past year due to the continuing increase in contracted support that AJW now provides to airlines like easyJet for example. It also acknowledges the processes and discipline that delivers the outstanding repair timescales from AJW Technique. This award is a great accolade and a continuous reminder of AJW’s outstanding achievements in the last year alone. It is an excellent start to 2016 for the Company."

«We are very proud to win for the fourth year running, particularly as it is voted for by our peers from across the aviation industry, including our customers, partners and suppliers. This makes it especially important to us. We look forward to sustaining the reasons why we continue to be chosen, as we expand our business and build even stronger partnerships with our customers."
