The Lufthansa Group advances NDC in partnership with Singapore Airlines

With New Distribution Capability (NDC) remaining central to its global 2025 distribution strategy, the Lufthansa Group continues its leadership in modern airline retailing. Recognised by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as having the most advanced API in the industry, the Lufthansa Group is now expanding its connectivity and content offerings through direct and NDC channels in Singapore.

From September 1st 2025, and in alignment with Joint Venture partner Singapore Airlines, the most attractive Economy Class fares – including booking classes K/L/T/S – will be available exclusively via NDC or direct channels. This move includes all Lufthansa Group fares commencing from Singapore to the Joint Venture home markets of Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Belgium.

According to Gilles Burgat, Lufthansa Group General Manager, Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei:

«This step reflects our commitment to innovation and transparency, while offering our customers a wider range of content, greater choice, and more personalized services. Following the example of our Joint Venture partner Singapore Airlines, we are confident this transition will bring even more value to our corporate clients, agencies, and travelers commencing their journey in Singapore.»

As a leader in NDC, this expansion covers two important topics for the Lufthansa Group in Asia Pacific: a deepening of the Joint Venture partnership with Singapore Airlines & a strategic focus on the development of modern airline retailing through NDC.
