Copa Airlines and JFKIAT renew their agreement to operate at JFK Airport’s Terminal 4

JFK International Air Terminal (JFKIAT), operator of Terminal 4 at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, announced through its official LinkedIn account the extension of its agreement with Copa Airlines, which will allow the Panamanian airline to maintain its operations at the terminal for the next decade.

The agreement strengthens the collaboration between both parties and consolidates Terminal 4 (T4) as one of the main air connection hubs in the United States.

The contract extension coincides with the terminal’s modernization process, a project aimed at improving passenger experience and optimizing operational efficiency. The recent physical expansion of T4 increased its capacity by 25%, enabling it to serve more than 27.7 million passengers in 2024.

Ricardo Sotelo, Vice President of Airport Operations at Copa Airlines, highlighted the more than two-decade relationship with JFKIAT at Terminal 4, “an operations hub that continues to set the standard in innovation, sustainability, and passenger experience.”

The executive emphasized that the airline remains committed to providing efficient service and contributing to the airport’s development, supporting the growth and evolution of the terminal as it adapts to travelers’ needs.
