At 10:26 a.m. local time this Thursday the 30th, the company’s first flight between the United States and Venezuela in seven years took off from Miami International Airport bound for Caracas.
This marks a new milestone in the renewed relationship between both countries after the Donald Trump administration shook the Chavista regime when it detained Nicolás Maduro last January 3.
The first flight is being operated with the Embraer E175 aircraft, registration N341MB, by Envoy Air, a subsidiary of American Airlines that in turn operates for the American Eagle brand. It is scheduled to land in Caracas at 1:15 p.m.
American’s initial schedule on the route sets a daily flight departing Miami at 10:16 a.m. to arrive in Caracas at 1:36 p.m. In the opposite direction, the flight will take off from the Venezuelan capital at 2:40 p.m., landing at Miami International Airport at 6:13 p.m…
