Southwest Airlines is planning to add additional flights on three of its nonstop routes at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport.
Beginning in April, Southwest is increasing its flights between Milwaukee and Baltimore/Washington, Houston and Phoenix.
The number of Southwest flights between Milwaukee and Baltimore/Washington Thurgood Marshall International will increase to four daily from three.
Southwest is also adding an additional flight from Milwaukee to Houston Hobby Airport, bringing the number of flights to two. It will also be adding some additional international connections at Houston.
Southwest, the market share leader in Milwaukee, does not have any competition for nonstop flights to either airport.
Southwest will add an additional flight to Phoenix Sky Harbor International as well, bringing the number of flights to three daily from two. (During March and April, Southwest will offer four flights from Milwaukee to Phoenix.)
The airline competes with American and Frontier on the nonstop service to Phoenix.
