Abra, a leading air transport group in Latin America, has taken a major step toward enhancing synergies among its airlines by appointing Francisco Raddatz as Chief Procurement Officer. The Fleet and Strategic Procurement leaders at Avianca and Gol will continue to oversee their day-to-day operations while now also reporting to Raddatz, who, in turn, will report to Abra’s CEO, Adrian Neuhauser.
All fleet decisions and strategic investments will remain subject to oversight by each company’s board of directors.
The purpose of this decision is to unify the Fleet and Strategic Procurement teams under a common structure that will serve both airlines by capturing synergies, identifying best practices, and standardizing processes. This structure ensures that the teams achieve efficiencies while maintaining local expertise and close relationships with suppliers and partners.
«I’m very proud to announce that the Fleet and Strategic Procurement divisions of Avianca and Gol will be even closer. Our vision and Francisco’s challenge will be to enhance these areas to serve the airlines, bringing together key processes to generate greater efficiency and competitiveness. Without a doubt, this step brings us even closer to Abra’s goal of making air travel more accessible to more people across Latin America,» said Adrian Neuhauser, CEO of Abra Group.
Raddatz has been involved in the aviation industry for over 15 years, holding various roles related to fleet management and procurement. He has been part of the Avianca team for the past five years and played a key role in the company’s transformation. Now, his challenge will be to capture synergies that create value for Abra, the airlines, and all stakeholders.
«I’m honored to lead this team, which is a fundamental part of the Group’s optimization and growth strategy. I firmly believe that this integration marks a major milestone in enabling the Fleet and Procurement areas to generate even more value,» said Francisco Raddatz, Chief Procurement Officer of Abra Group.
