Grupo Aeromexico S.A.B. de C.V. («Aeromexico») (BMV: AEROMEX) today reported February 2022 operational results.
-Grupo Aeromexico transported 1 million 232 thousand passengers in February; a 37.2% year-on-year increase. International passengers carried increased by 135.9%, while domestic passenger increased by 16.7%.
-Aeromexico’s total capacity, measured in available seat kilometers (ASKs), increased by 42.5% year-on-year. International ASKs increased by 61.7% compared to February 2021. Domestic capacity increased by 17.3%.
-Demand, measured in passenger-kilometers (RPKs), increased by 68.0% year-on-year. International demand increased by 141.3% compared to February 2021. Domestic demand increased by 11.9%.
-Aeromexico’s February load factor was 74.7%, a 8.6p.p. increase versus February 2021. International load factor increased by 19.9pp, and Domestic load factor decreased by 3.8pp.
-During February 2022, Aeromexico announced that starting on April it will fly again to the London Heathrow International Airport, with five weekly flights. With this Aeromexico will operate 4 direct routes to Europe from Mexico City. Additionally, Aeromexico announced that it will begin operations from Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA), operating daily flights to Villahermosa and Merida.
