Air Italy has signed a codeshare partnership with LATAM Airlines Brazil for services between the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo and seven Italian destinations.
Under the agreement, Air Italy’s IG code will be placed on LATAM flights between Milan Malpensa and São Paulo.
Meanwhile, LATAM will put its LA code on Air Italy flights between Milan Malpensa and Rome Fiumicino, Naples, Olbia (Sardinia), Palermo and Catania (Sicily) and Lamezia Terme (Calabria).
Rossen Dimitrov, chief operating officer of Air Italy – which rebranded from Meridiana in February – said: “The commencement of our partnership with LATAM is great news for passengers of both airlines. Our customers can now benefit from a new choice for connecting to São Paulo, via Milan Malpensa, from our six key Italian destinations.
“Meanwhile, we are delighted to be welcoming LATAM’s passengers on board our new Air Italy flights from Milan Malpensa to Rome, Naples, Palermo, Catania, Lamezia Terme and Olbia.
