An eight-hour strike by air traffic controllers and ground crew affecting Rome"™s airports on Tuesday would see 721 flights canceled throughout Italy, according to the country"™s civil aviation authority ENAC.
The strike would affect regional airports in Lazio, Emilia Romagna, Calabria, Marche, Umbria, Abruzzo, Apulia and Basilicata from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
ENAC said in a statement that the action would see the cancellation of 721 flights, while connections to Italian islands and intercontinental destinations had been guaranteed.
