American Airlines Is Launching More New Caribbean Routes

As it prepares to launch a wave of new Caribbean routes for the upcoming winter season, American Airlines is already planning for the spring.

The carrier has announced another series of new routes set to begin in for the 2019 summer season, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The new routes will be headlined by the May 3 launch of a new daily service between Miami and Santiago de Cuba.

American Airlines is also launching a new weekly Saturday service between New York-Laguardia and Aruba along with Saturday service between from both Charlotte and Dallas-Fort Worth to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

American is also adding two new routes to Honduras: four-times-weekly flights from Dallas to San Pedro Sula, along with thrice-weekly service from Dallas to Honduras’ capital, Tegucigalpa.

The Aruba and Santo Domingo flights will begin operating June 8, while the San Pedro Sula and Tegucigalpa flights will launch June 7 and 6, respectively. (Those flights will operate through Aug. 17 and Aug. 20 on a seasonal basis).
