Azul S.A., "Azul", the largest airline in Brazil by number of cities and departures, and Turkish Airlines, national flag carrier of Turkey, announced the signature of a codeshare agreement effective as of 6 December 2017.
Through this codeshare partnership, Turkish Airlines will add its flight code (TK) in Azul domestic flights. As a result, customers will be able to purchase tickets directly from Turkish Airlines sales channels to fly to Brazilian destinations operated by Azul. In addition to TK"™s other partnerships in the region, passengers will have more alternatives by the virtue of this codeshare agreement.

Initially, the Turkish carrier may place its code in Azul’s operations from São Paulo (Guarulhos) to many destinations in Brazil, like Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Cuiaba, Curitiba, Porto Alegre, Recife, Goiania and Florianopolis, for example. The routes offer fast and convenient connections for customers leaving Istanbul, the biggest Turkish city and also an unmatched hub for its geographical position, to São Paulo. Moreover, the agreement works reciprocally; allowing both airline"™ customers to enjoy connectivity in their respective hubs…
