ICAO and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Bahamas (CAA Bahamas) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formalize arrangements for the hosting of the Fourth Edition of the Civil Aviation Legal Advisers Forum (CALAF/4). The signing ceremony took place on the margins of the 42nd ICAO Assembly (A42), with ICAO Secretary General Mr. Juan Carlos Salazar and CAA Bahamas Director General Ms. Chequita Johnson signing on behalf of their respective organizations.
CALAF/4 will be held in Nassau, The Bahamas, from 27 to 29 May 2026 and is expected to attract global participation from legal experts, regulators, and aviation stakeholders. The event will feature high-level panels, technical workshops and networking opportunities.
This event aligns with ICAO’s new strategic goal of strengthening air law instruments and enhancing international legal cooperation in aviation. by providing a collaborative platform for aviation legal advisers to exchange views on emerging legal challenges and foster cross-border cooperation.
