Delta announces direct service to Tulum

Delta will operate daily nonstop service from its hometown Atlanta hub at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), to Tulum’s brand-new Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport (TQO) when it opens for international service in late March 2024 – giving customers direct access to the pristine beaches and laid-back atmosphere of this coastal Mexican treasure.

“Delta is uniquely positioned to give customers convenient and direct access from the U.S. to Tulum, a premium leisure destination known for its boutique hotels, Mayan ruins and eco-friendly spirit,” said S.V.P. of Network Planning Joe Esposito. “We know Tulum-bound customers will enjoy the elevated experience Delta consistently offers – and now without a two-hour drive from Cancun – as we grow our footprint in Mexico and throughout the Yucatan region”.

Delta’s daily Atlanta-Tulum service will launch March 28, 2024, and will operate year-round on a 160-seat Boeing 737-800, offering First Class, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin options. Customers in First Class can enjoy a chef-curated meal experience as well as complimentary premium wine, beer, and spirits. Delta Comfort+ passengers can also enjoy complimentary beverages and a bit more room to relax. Passengers in all cabins will enjoy more than 1,000 hours of complimentary premium entertainment via Delta Studio, in-seat power and fast, free Wi-Fi for Delta SkyMiles members.

Delta flies to more than 100 U.S. cities from ATL, enabling convenient one-stop connections to Tulum and other popular spring break destinations. Next year, Delta customers will benefit from the airline’s largest-ever spring break schedule in Mexico, as the airline will offer 10% more seat capacity this year on 55 peak-day flights to eight cities across the country.

Delta’s partner Aeromexico will serve Tulum from Mexico City International Airport (MEX) beginning in December 2023. By the end of 2024, the Delta-Aeromexico Joint Cooperation Agreement (JCA) will offer more than 90 daily flights between Mexico and the United States on nearly 60 routes, reinforcing the commitment of the cross-border alliance to bring the two countries closer together via a robust network, seamless connectivity and consistent industry-leading products and services.
