Delta Air Lines is expecting to fly at least 2 million customers during the Labor Day weekend travel period of Sept. 2-6, more than twice as many customers carried during the COVID-19-restricted 2020 season.
We may see as many as 2.2 million customers, representing about 80% of what we saw in 2019 before the pandemic began.
In 2020, about 800,000 customers traveled on Delta during the same holiday weekend period.
Delta is expected to average of 4,500 departures a day throughout September.
