Emirates has completed 15 years of operations to Los Angeles, one of the busiest routes in its US network. Since the airline began services to Los Angeles International Airport in 2008, Emirates has carried over 3.5 million passengers on 12,000 flights between Dubai and the point and uplifted a staggering 252,000 tonnes of cargo, supporting travel as well as trade, through the export and import of commodities.
When Emirates’ inaugural services began the destination became the second US city to be served by the airline.
Emirates currently serves the popular route with seven weekly flights operated with the double-decker A380 aircraft, capable of carrying up to 475 passengers and 15 tonnes of cargo in the bellyhold. The Emirates A380 features seats in four cabin classes including the recently-launched Premium Economy seats featuring 56 plush cream leather seats.
