Equair expands its partnership with AFI KLM E&M

AFI KLM E&M and Equair have announced the conclusion of a new engine maintenance agreement for the Ecuadorian flag carrier’s fleet of 737NG aircraft. This contract follows on from an initial agreement providing Component support for the same fleet, with AFI KLM E&M positioning itself as a trusted partner in the development of Equair’s aviation operations.

CFM56-7B expertise
The agreement involves servicing and repair of the 6 CFM56-7B engines powering Equair’s 3 Boeing 737-700s. As an MRO whose parent airline operates the 737NG, AFI KLM E&M has acquired an in-depth knowledge of -7B engines, from both a technical and operational standpoint. For Equair, this dual expertise ensures that its aircraft will benefit from adaptive, on-point services, tailored to their needs and taking into account the challenges they face as
an operator.

For Frederik Jacobsen, CEO of Equair, “AFI KLM E&M’s multi-product experience and expertise on the 737NG is a mark of quality and reliability. We can rest assured we’re in good hands, benefiting from ultra-competitive support services that have been adapted to our operational expectations.”

Pierre Teboul, SVP Commercial at AFI KLM E&M, added: “We’re delighted that Equair has extended its confidence in the services provided by AFI KLM E&M. This new contract illustrates our teams’ capacity to guide and support airlines with diverse needs (whether established majors or aviation start-ups), always striving to integrate their unique requirements and challenges.”

Martijn de Vries, VP KLM E&M Engines concludes: “CFM56-7B engine support is one of the most experienced products in AFI KLM E&M’s solution portfolio. Thanks to the decades of 737 operations, the Amsterdam teams have built up a unique experience on this engine type and will do their best to ensure that our valued customer, Equair, benefits from it”.
