The International Aviation Women’s Association (IAWA), a global network that brings together women in leadership positions within the aviation and aerospace industry, will host a very special breakfast on April 11, starting at 8 am, to discuss the importance of diversity and inclusion in shaping the industry’s development.
The event, sponsored by Airbus, will take place in the framework of the next edition of the IATA Wings of Change Americas 2024 (WoCA) conference, the flagship event of the airline industry in the region, which will be held on April 10 and 11 at the Sheraton Hotel & Convention Center in Santiago de Chile.
Established in 1988, IAWA brings together accomplished women and advocates for their progress worldwide. As women take on increasingly significant roles in aviation, IAWA plays a crucial role in promoting their advancement. Through annual global conferences, regional events, and networking opportunities, IAWA provides a platform for discussing industry-related issues and empowering women in the field. IAWA members serve as role models, inspiring other women to pursue growth and leadership in aviation and aerospace. Additionally, IAWA’s Scholarship Program encourages young women to enter and excel in these industries, contributing to a more diverse and inclusive future for aviation.
WoCA 2024 will bring together aviation leaders, regulators, and subject matter experts to discuss the main challenges and opportunities in air transport, and jointly chart future actions to harness the sector’s potential as a catalyst for social and economic development in Chile and throughout the Americas region.
There is no charge to attend this breakfast. Those wishing to participate must have a Wings of Change Americas (WOCA) conference registration. If you are not yet registered for WOCA 2024, please contact woca@iata.org.
