Jet2.com has won Airline of the Year 2018 at the Annual Glasgow Airport Awards.
We beat a number of other airlines to win this coveted prize, which the Jet2.com team at Glasgow Airport richly deserve for all their hard work and dedication to ensure that our customers depart for a lovely holiday.
This is the second time that Jet2.com has won the prize, and it comes on the back of other recent awards, such as the four accolades that we scooped at the 2018 TripAdvisor Traveller"™ Choiceâ„¢ awards for airlines (Best Airline "“ UK, Best Low-Cost Airline "“ Europe, Best Economy Class in Europe, and the only UK and European airline to be recognised in the Top 10 Airlines in the World category).
The award recognises a great deal of hard work by all of the Jet2.com team, both at Glasgow Airport and right across the business, and it follows our Summer 19 programme going on sale at Glasgow Airport last week.
This represents our biggest ever programme from the base and includes four brand new destinations – Bourgas (Bulgaria), Izmir (Turkey), Kos and Naples. In total we have 950,000 seats on sale to 33 destinations, representing a capacity increase of 11%. To support that growth, an extra Boeing 737-800 aircraft will come into operation at Glasgow Airport, taking the fleet size to seven at the base…
