Latin America and the Caribbean airlines carried 1.1 million additional passengers in March, resulting in a passenger traffic increase of 5.4%, compare to 2017. The main reason for this growth was the Holy Week, which in 2018 was celebrated in March, while in 2017 it was celebrated in April.

Latin America and Caribbean airlines carried 2.2 million passengers to and from Latin America and the Caribbean in March and up 24.4% from the previous year (see table 2). Traffic (RPK) grew 19.2% and capacity (ASK) increased 19.2%, bringing up the load factor to 82.4%.
