As it was announced in July 2017, airline Lufthansa will inaugurate this Thursday, March 29, 2018 its non-stop flight between Frankfurt, Germany and San Jose, Costa Rica.
Back when the announcement was made, Tamur Goudarzi-Pour, vice-president of Sales for the Americas of Lufthansa had stated: "Beyond tourism, the Lufthansa Group offers a world of travel opportunities for both leisure and business travelers. From our Frankfurt center we offer more than 200 destinations to all corners of the world, linking Costa Rica and Costa Ricans to financial capitals across the European continent to Asia. The Lufthansa Group is not just an airline conglomerate, we are the world"™s leading aviation company and we are proud to add Costa Rica to our network".
On the other hand, President of Costa Rica, Luis Guillermo Solis commented "The Costa Rican Government, celebrates the great news of having the prestigious airline Lufthansa, one of the most important in the world, flying to our country, opening a window of opportunities not just for the establishment of the country as a tourism destination in the European market, but also for the development of business, the cultural exchange, the exports and foreign trade".
