President Martin Vizcarra on Monday announced he has ordered an assessment of the Oxapampa Airport construction in order to improve the connectivity of this province.
During his work visit to the area, the Head of State indicated a professional technical team —including Transport-Communications Ministry and State-run Peruvian Corporation of Airports and Commercial Aviation (Corpac) officials— will be in charge of the evaluation.
According to the top official, it is necessary to work with a vision towards the future, highlighting Oxapampa’s tourist and productive potential, which requires an adequate connectivity with the Inca country’s capital.
The statesman went on to add three potential areas for the airport have been identified, which will have to be assessed by the experts.
