TAP resumes flights to Porto Alegre

TAP Air Portugal resumes flights to Porto Alegre, capital of Rio Grande do Sul state, Brazil, on April 1, 2025, with three flights per week, operated with the modern A330-900 neo aircraft, with capacity for 298 passengers.

Flights between Lisbon and Porto Alegre will take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, departing from the Portuguese capital at 13:05 and arriving in Porto Alegre at 20:25. With a total flight duration of 11:20, this is one of the longest flights in the TAP network of destinations.

In the opposite direction, the TAP flight departs from the capital of the state of Rio Grande do Sul at 21:55, arriving at Humberto Delgado airport at 12:45. Flights are available from 699 euros, round trip, with all taxes included.

The Salgado Filho International Airport, in Porto Alegre, was closed on May 3, due to the state of calamity declared by the authorities, following the rains that caused major floods in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, and which also affected the airport infrastructure. TAP has suspended its flights since that date and is now resuming operations.

With the resumption of the offer of direct flights between the southernmost capital of Brazil and Europe, TAP fulfils the commitment it made on the date it was forced to suspend this connection and is pleased with the reopening of Porto Alegre airport to international flights.

TAP Air Portugal is the airline that flies the most between Europe and Brazil, with almost 100 flights per week, departing from 13 capital cities in Brazil.

TAP Air Portugal flies directly from Lisbon to São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belém, Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Fortaleza, Natal, Maceió, Porto Alegre, Recife, Salvador, Florianópolis and Manaus, as well as connecting Porto to São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. In total, there are 13 cities in Brazil (15 routes, from Lisbon and Porto) that TAP connects directly to Portugal.
