LATAM Airlines announced today that two of its non-stop flights to Sao Paulo, Brazil will be operated in the Airbus A350XWB. The departures will begin from New York"™s John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) on September 30, 2017, and from Orlando"™s International Airport (MCO), on November 15, 2017.
These routes, which serve 4,000 and 5,000 miles respectively, were selected for the aircraft replacement to "maintain the fulfillment of LATAM Airline"™ vision for sustainability".
The A350"™s design has successfully reduced the weight of the aircraft itself, allowing up to a 25% reduction in fuel requirements, maximizing operational efficiency and minimizing any impacts on the environment.
