Virgin Atlantic is set to enhance its leisure portfolio by increasing frequencies to popular sunseeker destinations, catering to the growing demand for winter getaways.
The airline, known for its commitment to providing diverse travel experiences, has recently launched seasonal flights to Dubai and the Maldives, both operating daily throughout the winter of 2024-25.
Record Flights to Barbados
Barbados remains a key focus in Virgin Atlantic’s Caribbean portfolio, and for the year 2024, it is set to see a record number of flights.
The airline plans to operate double daily services from London Heathrow throughout winter 2024, in addition to the existing four times a week services from Manchester Airport.
The newly announced frequencies are set to go on sale, providing travelers with more options for their winter travel plans.
Starting from October 27, Barbados will operate double daily flights. Daily services to Dubai will resume on October 26, 2024, followed by daily flights to the Maldives starting on October 27, 2024.
Juha Jarvinen, Chief Commercial Officer at Virgin Atlantic, expressed excitement about expanding the leisure portfolio, stating,
“Our recent route launches to Dubai and the Maldives have already proved exceptionally popular, and we’re pleased to offer more opportunities for our customers to reach these luxurious destinations in 2024 and 2025.”
Caribbean Island Connectivity
Virgin Atlantic is set to serve a record number of Caribbean islands in 2024, offering direct services from London Heathrow to Antigua, The Bahamas, Barbados, Grenada, Jamaica, St Lucia, St Vincent and The Grenadines, and Turks & Caicos.
