Volaris holds inaugural flight to Los Cabos at OAK

Volaris, Mexico’s largest airline, began operating their new daily nonstop flights to Los Cabos (SJD) at Oakland Airport (OAK). The destination is located on the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula and home to the Mexican Riviera destinations of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. The first flight was celebrated with a special event for passengers at the gate.

“Congratulations to Volaris on this exciting route addition at OAK,” said Port of Oakland Director of Aviation Craig Simon. “This new service makes travel to Cabo more convenient and affordable than ever for millions of Bay Area travelers.”

Daily flights between OAK and Los Cabos (SJD) will operate on the following schedule:

Southbound flights depart OAK at 12:30 PM and arrive at SJD at 3:38 PM.
Northbound flights will depart SJD at 5:09 PM and arrive at OAK at 8:30 PM.

The new flight is operated by Volaris’ fleet of Airbus Neo aircraft. Volaris offers a full range of onboard products for customers to choose from including premium seating, assigned seats, and dozens of food and beverage options for purchase.
