ALTA represented the region during the 25th IATA Environment Committee (ENCOM) meeting that took place at IATA"™s regional office in Miami. CORSIA, as well as regional and national regulations on CO2 and noise, were among topics discussed. The industry will have to play an active role in capacity building for the implementation of CORSIA. ALTA confirmed its commitment and seeks support from government and other key stakeholders for the development of sustainable alternative fuels for aviation.
