Miami International Airport has installed 36 new "Passport Express kiosks" in the North Terminal in addition to the current Global Entry program.

These Automated Passport Control kiosks are offering passengers a faster customs experience, it allows US and Canadian Citizens to have their passports processed in as little as two minutes, as opposed to waiting in a long queue to be processed by a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer.

How it works: The touch-screen kiosks will ask passengers a series of questions, producing a receipt once completed. Passengers then take this receipt, along with their passport and boarding pass, to a Customs & Border Protection officer for verification if requested (in case of any issue or conflict detected) otherwise you"™re ready to go.

The kiosks are free to use, require no prior registration, and will address what is frequently listed as passenger"™ biggest complaint "“ waiting times in customs.

Currently these new APC kiosks are installed in: YUL, YVR, ORD, JFK and MIA.
