Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) is proud to announce that Queen Beatrix International Airport (Aruba Airport) has achieved the International Air Transport Association (IATA)’s Environmental Assessment Certification (IEnvA), marking a significant milestone in the airport’s commitment to sustainable growth and environmental stewardship.
AAA went through a rigorous training, assessment, and verification process for over two years to reach this prestigious certification.
“In 2025, AAA developed and established its Environmental Management System (EMS), a structured framework to continuously improve the airport’s environmental performance.
By achieving this certification, AUA Airport has met the rigorous standards set forth by IEnvA and has demonstrated a clear resolve to minimize environmental impact. This achievement is a direct result of the work and dedication of the passionate Sustainability team at AAA, supported by colleagues across our company, as well as our business partners and other key stakeholders.”, according to Angeline Flemming, Director of Health and Sustainability for AAA
AUA Airport now joins a select group of organizations that are fully registered and certified by IATA, recognizing not only the ongoing efforts but serves as an inspiration for others within the aviation industry to do the same. AAA looks forward to continuing innovating and leading by example in environmental responsibility.
