FedEx is taking delivery of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at five major U.S. airports, with Dallas-Fort Worth International (DFW) and New York John F. Kennedy International (JFK) airports the latest to join the roster.
The cargo delivery giant said it began utilizing SAF to fuel its freighter aircraft at DFW and JFK at the end of 2025. That followed SAF initiatives launched by FedEx at Chicago O’Hare International (ORD) and Miami International (MIA) airports in October 2025 and at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in May 2025.
FedEx has contracted with World Fuel Services to deliver 2 million gal. of SAF with a minimum 30% blend across DFW and JFK. Air bp is providing 1 million gal. of SAF with a minimum 30% blend to FedEx at ORD, while AEG Fuels is delivering 3 million gal. at MIA. Neste is under contract to deliver 3 million gallons of SAF to FedEx at LAX.
