Hitit to participate at Wings of Change conference in Chile

For the first time Hitit is sponsoring at the Wings of Change conference organized by IATA in LATAM. The event has been taking place from April 4th until April 5th in Chile"™s capital Santiago. Hitit is supporting the event as a bronze sponsor with a booth and total of three delegates, two from the Istanbul headquarters and one Latin America representative. The fast-growing IT provider for the airline industry is participating to underline its commitment to the growing Latin American market. Today over 70,000 travel agencies worldwide are using Hitit"™s distribution system and more than one billion flight queries are processed each year.

Several airline CEOs and top representatives from the region will attend the event. The main topics of the Wings of Change conference have been the economic state of the global airline industry, disruptive innovation of the passenger experience, next generation for the Americas infrastructure and regional challenges like Cuba"™s role in the Caribbean, and Miami"™s aviation strategy. Now in its 10th edition, Wings of Change remains one of the most important aviation conferences in Latin America and the Caribbean, drawing upon leading experts to examine the state of our industry.

The agenda include speeches and panel discussions on infrastructure developments, the emergence of Ultra Low-Cost Carriers in the region, the economic value of aviation, regulation and harmonization of the industry, consumer protection, the future passenger experience and a special session on the economic state of the Americas. Alexandre de Juniac, Director General and CEO of IATA, spoke about the "The Magic of Aviation – The Benefits of Air Transport in the Americas."

Hitit will use the conference as a forum for its solutions to the Latin America region. "The conference provides an excellent opportunity for the industry to come together, analyze and address how best to navigate the current industry challenges and take a closer look at preparing for the future of air transport development. The airline and travel IT provider from Istanbul is an affiliate member of The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association and will share its views on the future of airline distribution with the delegates. Behavioral targeting, personalization and facilitated booking through innovative standards like NDC and One order, will be key issues of Hitit"™s conference presence.
