LATAM Airlines Group’s fleet to surpass 400 aircraft this year

LATAM Airlines Group will incorporate 28 next-generation aircraft during the second half of this year, surpassing 40 deliveries and reaching an operational fleet of 410 aircraft, positioning itself among the twelve largest operators globally, according to a company statement.

The group added 13 aircraft during the first half, comprising seven Airbus A320neo, four Airbus A321neo, and two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. For the second half of the year, it expects more units of these models and the introduction of the first Embraer E190-E2, which will be deployed to strengthen the domestic network in Brazil and provide greater operational flexibility across various markets in the region.

«Fleet renewal is one of the most important investments we are driving as a group, because it allows us to grow more efficiently and better respond to the region’s connectivity needs,» said Sebastián Acuto, Vice President of Fleet and Projects at LATAM Airlines Group. «South America has domestic markets with enormous potential for development, and having a more flexible and diverse fleet gives us the reach we need to be there,» he added…
