Mercado Libre launched air shipping operations to the Patagonia region to reduce delivery times to a maximum of 48 hours. The operation covers destinations including Ushuaia, Bariloche, Neuquén, and Trelew, with a capacity to transport between 15,000 and 16,000 packages daily through five weekly frequencies.
Logistics for Ushuaia and Bariloche are managed using belly capacity on Aerolíneas Argentinas commercial flights. For Neuquén and Trelew, the company established a domestic cargo network alongside operator Innova Logistic, utilizing exclusive freighters from the national flag carrier. This setup follows a pilot program started last September and included the upgrading of cargo terminals at Patagonian airports to enable domestic cargo operations from Ezeiza.
