SKY and United Airlines have formalized an interline agreement that expands travel options between South America and North America. Starting in October, this partnership allows United passengers to seamlessly connect with SKY’s network of more than 30 destinations.
The agreement facilitates access to important domestic routes in both South American countries, including cities like Cusco, Arequipa, Trujillo, Concepción, Puerto Montt, and Punta Arenas. The connection also extends to key international destinations in SKY’s network, such as Mendoza, Bariloche, El Calafate, Montevideo, and various locations in Brazil.
The implementation of the agreement was carried out gradually over the past few months. Its goal is to enable travelers arriving at Lima (LIM) or Santiago (SCL) airports to continue their journey on SKY flights using a single ticket, with their baggage checked through to their final destination. Similarly, passengers beginning their journey in Chile or Peru will have access to United Airlines’ extensive global network.
Julio Solar, Routes and Alliances Manager at SKY, stated that «together with United, we strengthen our purpose of making the sky accessible to everyone, connecting our region with North America, where our partners have a solid presence.» Solar added that through this alliance, «United will be able to offer SKY’s network on its sales channels, facilitating connections at different points in the region where both operate, combining two leading networks in the Americas.»…
