A 30th edition of the SAE BRASIL International Mobility Congress and Exhibition, which takes place between the 10th and 11th of October, in São Paulo, at the PRO MAGNO event center, will bring important discussions for the Brazilian aeronautical market, with the participation of significant names in the sector, who will debate innovative technologies and relevant topics with a focus in sustainability, such as the use of green fuels in aviation.
The two panels focusing on the aviation market will take place on the 10th, Tuesday, at the Embraer Auditorium. In the first, at 9:45 am, Andrew Stein, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of EVE Air Mobility; Ivo Auger Giacomini, Archer Manager; Maurilio Albanian, Director of technological development at Embraer; Fernando Cammarota, Engineering Manager at GE Aviation e Jesus Takachi Tomita, Vice-Rector of ITA – Technological Institute of Aeronautics, as mediator, debate on “Emerging technologies and the sustainability of air mobility”.
Guests will debate the main paths in the process towards sustainable air mobility, based on the development of emerging technologies, in addition to talking about the challenges and opportunities related to the energy transition, among other developments such as electrification, hydrogen, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF ), in addition to the automation of flight functions.
Then, at 11:30 am, the panel “Flying green with sustainable fuels”, which will discuss the paths to making sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) viable and the main obstacles and possible solutions for the decarbonization of air transport. The names confirmed for the panel are Diogo Youssef, Senior Engineering Manager at AZUL Linhas Aéreas; Marcus Vinícius Bertato, Flight Operations Engineering Manager at GOL Linhas Aéreas, with mediation Danny Oliveira, Director of IATA.
