The International Aviation Womens Association (IAWA), a worldwide professional organization for women who hold executive positions within the aviation and aerospace industry, has unveiled the name of the keynote speaker for the Boeing Gala Dinner at its 25th anniversary conference. The speaker, Ivette Franco, is legal director of Compañía Panameña de Aviación, S.A. (Copa Airlines).
Franco, who has held her position since 1999, has a long and distinguished background in both the international arena and in the aviation industry. She previously worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, over the years serving as General Director of the International Economics Affairs Office, Chief of Staff and as legal director within the Treaty and Legal Affairs Office. She has also been the representative of Panama to the O.A.S. (Organization of American States), and worked as Delegate of the Republic of Panama to the Interamerican Women Comission O.A.S. Prior to that, she worked as General Counsel for Air Panama Internacional, S.A.
Franco"™s address will serve as the highlight of the Boeing Gala Dinner at IAWA"™s 25th anniversary conference, which will be held from November 18-20 at the Trump Ocean Club International Hotel in Panama. The conference is expected to attract more than 200 women in the aerospace and aviation professions worldwide, and will feature speaker panels and presentations from respected industry leaders, as well as expansive opportunities for personal and professional networking
