Servicios Aeroportuarios Andinos S.A. (SAASA) received from the IATA Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (IATA CEIV) the Live Animals certification, becoming the first Cargo Handling Facility in region and the fifth in the world to complete the CEIV triple recognition. Live Animals, Fresh, and Pharma.
“SAASA achieved, due to its effort and perseverance, the triple CEIV certification, a guarantee of excellence in handling pharmaceutical and perishable goods, as well as live animals. With this, we become the first Peruvian operator, the first in the Americas and the fifth in the world to guarantee the traceability, handling and
storage of these products following the international standards with which these companies operate,” expressed Enrique Vargas, SAASA’s General Manager.
It is important to point out that SAASA is an integral part of the supply chain of different sectors through the services it provides; for this reason, it holds the CEIV Pharma certification since last year, which together with the CEIV Fresh and the CEIV Live Animals certifications obtained this year, makes the company a reliable partner for the air import and export of specialized cargo.
